BANTOL BEACH

a day trip to southern malang with virra and aryo. 4 hours drives from surabaya to south coastal of Malang. To get to this beach is not too difficult, access road is also quite easy. From the crossroad of Sumbermanjing Kulon Village, Pagak Subdistrict, is approximately 10 km to the south. The road was also not too difficult. Although not yet paved, any vehicle can enter. Because, the road to Bantol Beach into the access road in and out of the car type truck to transport wood and fruit.

Bantol Beach is not known in general because it is far from the village. Visitors are usually Nature Lovers who come at certain times only. To be able to go to the beach must take the dirt road and macadam through the teak forest. On this beach there is little mangrove forest which is usually rare in the southern coast of Java. The beach is small but the water is crystal clear there is no dirt or rubbish on the beach. Sea waves are not too big because they are in a bay and are protected by clusters of coral along the coastline. But it turns dangerous during the tide season, the waves can sweep the beach swiftly. At low tide the cluster of corals will be seen clear and beautiful from the reflection of clear water exposed to sunlight. In certain months, visitors can enjoy the sunset from Pesanggrahan coral that juts into the middle of the sea.

On Bantol Beach there is a typical brackish water lake mangrove which is the estuary of several small rivers that flow from the teak forest around it. Brackish water is quite tasteless to be used as drinking water, without tasting salty. Around the teak forest there are also many limestone caves frequented by Nature Lovers Group and Cave Trackers for both recreational and scientific research activities. As known to the limestone mountains in the area of South Malang is one of the best karst distribution in Java Island and is known to contain the geological wealth and beauty of the cave.
